The SKLAN Tournament Schedule.
The day is finally here! We here at SKL are announcing the full SKLAN tournament schedule after teasing games for the last two weeks.
You may be wondering what the hour-long break sections consist of. Those are a mix of three things:
- Need a break? Use the break time to sit back, relax, get some fresh air.
- Did a tournament block go a bit longer than we wanted it to? We’ll use part of the break time.
- Want to play a game in the casual area with other people at the LAN that isn’t on the schedule? Use the break time.
As for the other things on the schedule, we will be asking for the community’s feedback on what to do during each of these sections. Below are some of the ideas that we have come up with.
Reminder that SKLAN is on August 25th, 2018 at 12:00PM until August 26th at 12:00PM at the Travelodge Hotel in Saskatoon (106 Circle Drive West) in Galaxy’s A and B.

Community Voted
We have, and will continue to ask for player’s votes for our Community Voted section. This can be a game that has been played earlier in the night that we want more time for, or a game no one has ever heard of, or a game that we accidentally missed! You want it? Suggest and VOTE for it on our Discord (discord.gg/sklesports)!
While a lot of these events might seem “hardcore”, we assure you, this LAN is whatever you make it to be. Want to play one game the entire night with your friends? You can do that! Want to play in as many tournaments as possible to try and prove your stuff against other people in Western Canada? You can do that too! Want to grab random people and play other LAN favourites such as Warcraft 3, Gary’s Mod, Jackbox Games or Quake? You can absolutely do that too!
If you have not signed up for the LAN already, our early bird pricing of $30 ($10 off the door price) ends August 19th, 2018. You can register by clicking here. If that wasn’t incentive enough, signing up before August 19th, 2018 also enters you to win both an MSI Interceptor Mouse and Keyboard!
For anyone attending the Warhammer ITC or SKL Smashkatoon, remember: if you decide to come to the LAN afterwards, you receive $10 off your LAN ticket. So if you sign up for Smashkatoon or the ITC before August 19th, entry to the LAN will only be $20!
What should I bring to SKLAN?
- Computer/Laptop
- Monitor
- Keyboard and mouse
- Headset
- Ethernet cable. The longer the better. We recommend 20+ feet.
- Power bar (we can’t provide one for everyone)
- Extra cash. There will be a snack concession, bar, and restaurant on the premises.
What should I not bring to SKLAN?
- Absolutely no USB drives, external hard drives, etc. that contain illegal/pirated software.
- No outside food, drinks, or snacks.
How do I prepare for SKLAN?
- Download and update all of your games beforehand. Internet bandwidth may be limited.
- If you are using Steam, make sure to set it to offline mode before attending.
- There will be lots of people in and out and we’re in for a long event, so make sure you’re being courteous and practicing proper hygiene before the event to make sure we all have the best time possible.
