Lobby Creation

The captain of the higher seeded team will create the custom lobby and will invite the opposing team captain on Valorant, and both captains will invite the rest of their teammates. The “Cheats” option must be disabled.

Pausing/Timeout – Not Enabled at this Time

The “Cheats” option allows use of a pause timer function but unfortunately also allows players to use other cheats without alerting anyone else in the lobby. Due to the impossibility of policing the use of this function, we have decided to force all teams to disable the “Cheats” option in the lobby. If a player disconnects for whatever reason, do not leave the match. We are not allowing remakes in this tournament. If any player leaves the match through the pause menu they will not be able to rejoin the match. Players who disconnect through other means including crashing/closing of the Valorant client should be able to reconnect upon relogging. The disconnecting players team must play a player down until the player reconnects.

All teams are allowed between five-seven players on their roster; five starting players and two substitutes. The specific designation of which player is a substitute does not matter. Team rosters will be locked when registration closes at 12:00 pm MDT on October 30th.

During Bo1 play, teams may swap out a player for another player that is on their roster between matches. During a Bo3/Bo5 series, teams may only swap out players after the series has concluded. Mid-series player swapping may be allowed only under limited emergency circumstances at the discretion of the referee team.

Each team’s captain must join the SKL Discord ( as this will be the main form of communication between referees and team captains. There will be a mandatory captain’s meeting at 10:30 am (MST)(Saskatchewan Time) on Saturday, October 31st, 2020

Map Striking

The team captain who made the lobby will be responsible for creating the mapban session.

Step 1:

Go to

Step 2:

Select Valorant.

Step 3:

Select all maps.

Step 4:

***IMPORTANT*** – You are not done after this step! You MUST change settings detailed in Step 5

For group stage select “Best of 1”

For playoffs select “Best of 3”

Step 5:

Select “Ban order & More options”. Select “Ban until 1 maps left”. This will make it so the map is determined randomly from the remaining two maps. Once the first map is banned, you will not be able to change the settings and will have to start over.

Step 6:

Send the opposing team’s captain the link underneath “Team 2”. Both team’s ban one map each and the map that will be played will be highlighted in blue after the second ban is complete. Hold left click to ban your selection. You should only see two “X’s” if the settings were changed correctly; one blue and one orange.
